SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM (STP)
The Academy of Sciences Chennai is conducting 21 days Summer Training Program (STP-2025) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics this year through online mode for three weeks (from 15th May to 7th June 2025). This program is effectively designed to benefit the Postgraduate students of Tamil Nadu, especially from rural back ground/ government colleges and also to motivate the students to write CSIR / GATE examinations as well as to pursue a career in research.
Academy Research Internship Programme (ARIP)
The Academy of Sciences – Chennai introduces a new initiative called “Academy Research Internship Programme (ARIP)” from the academic year 2024 – 2025 onwards like other National Academies. In this context, the Academy will pool up the expertise of Fellows of Academy to support this move of Academy to offer research exposure in current trends of Science and Technology to PG students preferably from affiliated Colleges/ Universities from rural parts of Tamil Nadu.
Physics & Chemistry Olympiad 2019
Olympiad examination for P.G. students was held on 16-02-2019. 320 students were participated. The prize winners of Olympiad 2019 was honored on 15th March 2019

Anandakrishnan Prize), Senior Scientist Awards 2025 (Prof. V. Devanathan Award, Prof. M. Santappa Award & Prof. Niranjali Devaraj Award) and ASC–Masila Vijaya Awards 2025. The function will be presided over by Dr. S. Sriman Narayanan, President, Academy of Sciences, Chennai. Dr. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, will be the Chief Guest.
