ASC-Masila Vijaya Awards 2023

The Academy of Sciences Chennai invites nominations for the following awards.

ASC-Masila-Vijaya Award for significant Scientific Research Publication:
` 50,000/- to any scientist/team for the publication of highly meritorious research paper (single paper) with innovative research output, large citations in reputed Journal of the highest impact factor (such as Science, Nature, Physical Review Letters etc) in the preceding five years (Jan 2019-December 2023) in any discipline such as physical, chemical or biological sciences. The awardee must have done the work in anyone of educational / research institutions of Tamil Nadu.

ASC-Masila-Vijaya Award for Patented Innovative Research:
` 25,000 to any scientist/team for the most application-oriented patent obtained in the preceding five years (Jan 2019-December 2023). The patent should have the potential for commercialization. The awardee must have lived and worked in any part of Tamil Nadu.

ASC-Masila-Vijaya Award for Popularization of Science:
` 25,000 to any scientist/team or person for the most effective service rendered for popularization of Science in the preceding five years (Jan 2019-December 2023). (Preferably in Tamil but not necessarily). The awardee must have lived and worked in any part of Tamil Nadu.

Each ASC-Masila-Vijaya Award consists of cash, a laser inscribed plaque, and a certificate.

ALL nominations should be done through the applications which are downloadable from the academy website (https://tnasc.com ). The nominations should reach us by email to: [email protected] and one hard copy by post . The nominations (hard copy) should be sent to : The Secretary, The Academy of Sciences Chennai, Department of Nuclear Physics, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai 600025.

The envelope should be superscribed as, “ASC-MV Awards – 2023” and the last date for the receipt of nomination is 15th December 2023.
